MR ANDREW HOLLOWOOD MB ChB PhD FRCS

I have been a consultant upper GI surgeon in Bristol since 2006, specialising in minimally invasive and endoscopic treatments of oesophageal and gastric disease having completed a clinical placement at the National Cancer Centre in Tokyo, Japan.

I specialise in laparoscopic surgery for groin hernias through to complex major reconstruction of the diaphragm.

I have worked with my colleague Paul Wilkerson in Bristol since 2014 and we now work as partners in Spire Bristol Hospital.

I am a general and upper GI surgeon specialising in keyhole and endoscopy-based treatments. This includes hernia surgery of any type, including hiatal hernia, diaphragmatic and incisional hernias as well as all groin hernias, gall bladder surgery and surgical techniques for the treatment of reflux and achalasia.

I am the Associate Medical Director and Lead for Strategy at the University Hospitals Bristol having previously held the post of Clinical Chair for Surgery Head and Neck division.
